Welcome to BME PROUD

Set up in 2009 primarily for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Muslims in Luton, BME PROUD is a social support group for all Black and Minority Ethnic LGBT people, their families and friends. We're also here for the LGBT community as a whole.

BME PROUD is an independent organisation run by volunteers. We provide a safe space and a network through which our members can address issues of common concern by sharing information and individual experiences. We meet each month and organise social events such as Eid celebrations, day trips and nights out, and activities to mark LGBT History Month and International Day Against Homophobia (IDAHO).
